I was born in Lebanon and moved out when I was only 1 year old. I am a Dutch citizen, however I consider myself multicultural because I have lived in places like Colombia, Curacao, Canada and Costa Rica. I have been influenced by the Latin, Arabic and European cultures and this has had a major impact in my life, making me a more open-minded person and respectful of all cultures and ethnicities. I am currently still an assistant Dermatologist at CIMA Hospital in San Jose, Costa Rica, a JCI accredited Hospital and one of the top hospitals in all of Central America, formerly affiliated to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Currently I also have a clinic in Lebanon.
I completed my residency in Dermatology in San Jose, Costa Rica, at the University of Medical Sciences, UCIMED with a rotation at the department of Dermatology in the American University of Beirut Medical Center and a fellowship training in Hair transplant in Athens, Greece with renowned hair transplant Surgeon Dr. Anastasios Vekris. I am also an accredited international fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a full member, and a member of the Lebanese society of Dermatology. I consider myself a very responsible physician, always putting the patients interests and health as main concerns. I think that a good physician-patient relation is the key for a good practice in all specialties, providing not only medical help but also moral, educational and physiological support.
